The Kwanji team are in high spirits following a successful appearance at SyndicateRoom and Gust’s Pitch & Mix 2016 event.

Coinciding with the final week of Kwanji’s equity crowdfunding campaign, the team were one of six companies invited to pitch at the prestigious event.

The event was hosted at BDO’s central London offices on Monday 25th January.

CEO and founder Leslie Onyesoh, ably supported by COO and co-founder William Lorenz, headed up the event for Kwanji; taking the opportunity to pitch and field questions from an audience of over 120 respected investors, entrepreneurs and figures from the world of finance.

Leslie’s speech was very well received and the team were in high demand for the entirety of the night. Attendees were particularly impressed by the news that the round was already 123% overfunded and that the team had beaten their original target of £400,000.

Kwanji weren’t the only one with big news. The event also saw the announcement of a new partnership between SyndicateRoom and Gust.

SyndicateRoom (chosen by Kwanji to handle investment this funding round) are the UK’s premiere equity crowdfunding platform, whilst Gust is the world’s largest angel investment platform. The partnership will allow both companies to reach a wider audience of global angel investors, helping businesses around the world to accelerate the investment deal flow process.

Both CEOs, Gonçalo De Vasconcelos and David S. Rose, were on hand to announce the launch, as well as go into further detail about how this will help UK startups gain access to a wider and more agile investor base.

It was particularly pleasing for the Kwanji team to be part of a shared event which will positively shape how UK companies grow and develop in the future.

The team would like to thank SyndicateRoom, Gust & BDO for hosting this fantastic event.
